Shirley Moore, M.S., R.Ac.
Shirley has been practicing acupuncture since 2003. She holds diplomas in both Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACATCM) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, which is affiliated with the University of Beijing. She is registered in Alberta and is board certified by the American National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She also holds a Master of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College.
In addition, Shirley has completed postgraduate work at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and gained advanced certification in Acupuncture for Oncology from them. She uses acupuncture to reduce the severity of side effects of chemotherapy medications in cancer patients such as pain, fatigue, nausea, and anxiety. Shirley is a member of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the Society for Integrative Oncology, the Alberta Association of Traditional Chinese Medical Doctors, and the American Association of Oriental Medicine. |
